Product Description

Petroleum resin is a class of synthetic hydrocarbon resins derived from petroleum-based feed-stocks. It is characterized by a low acid value, excellent miscibility, and strong resistance to water, ethanol, and chemicals. The resin is chemically stable against both acids and alkali and offers good viscosity-adjusting properties and thermal stability. Typically, petroleum resins are not used alone but serve as accelerators, modifiers, or compounding agents in combination with other polymers.

Types and Properties:

C9 Petroleum Resin: Appears as light yellow to white flakes, granules, or solids with a transparent and glossy finish. Relative density ranges from 0.97 to 1.04.

C5 Petroleum Resin: Exhibits good fluidity and enhances the wettability of base materials. It provides strong viscosity, outstanding initial tack, excellent aging resistance, and features light color, transparency, low odor, and low volatile content.
